When at the X Change event two weeks ago, I had the pleasure to meet, and actually spend the first day of huddles with Paul Legutko of SEMphonic. I really appreciated his very thoughtful comments. Paul just start his new blog on Web Analytics: Web Analytics Applied. His first post is about reporting and KPIs, topics dear to my heart (hint: I was the facilitator on the KPI huddle).
Paul adds a lot to the argument that KPI (and their reporting) are quite personal to an organization, or team in that organization. I think that even though many can be used across companies, KPIs should not be seen as standards and adopted accordingly. Go read the great examples Paul gives on how flexible the process ought to be.
Welcome Paul; we’ll be reading!
