I finally got my invitation to Microsoft Gatineau a few minutes ago. I must say that I am extremely curious about the product, and will implement it this weekend. Gatineau is a little town about an hour and fifteen minutes from Montreal by car. There used to be a company there called Deep Metrix who for years tried to push their LiveStats products, even claiming they had over 700,000 customers worldwide. I had personally met two. Anyway, Microsoft bought them and did to it the same treatment that Google did to Urchin.

With now a new free alternative, I wonder how the market will react: it will not be easier to choose because those products are free.

Will it be brand against brand?
